4.4.2 Tests.
4.4.2.1 Test conditions. Unless otherwise specified, test shall be conducted at standard
ambient temperature as defined in MIL-STD-810. Prior to each test, a new 6-volt battery or four
new 1.5-volt C-cell batteries, as applicable, shall be installed in the light and the light shall be
operated in each mode ("ON", "OFF", and "FLASH") to determine that the light meets the
requirements of 3.5.
4.4.2.2 Operating. Operate the light in each mode ("ON", "OFF", and "FLASH") five
times. Failure to operate in each mode five times without damage shall constitute failure of this
test.
