Fire hazard. The light equipped with a 60 watt bulb, shall be adjusted so that the illumination is straight down. The light shall be turned on and the front of the reflector pushed, with at least 10 pounds of force, into direct contact with a cotton bedsheet placed on a firm mattress or pillow. (The pressure need not be maintained after initial application). A thermocouple shall be placed under the sheet within the circumference of the reflector. The light shall be left on for one hour, and the temperature shall be recorder at the end of the hour.
Leakage current. The light shall be tested in accordance with section 27 of UL544.
Sampling for test shall be conducted in accordance with MI-STD-105, and as indicated in table I. Acceptance level shall be zero for all sample sizes.

Examination. The light shall be examined to compliance with specified requirements. Examination shall be conducted in accordance with table II.

Sampling for examination. Sampling for examination shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105 and as indicated in table III.
