14. The issue of referenced documents in effect on the date of the invitation for bid or request for proposal shall be used to determine compliance.
CONTRACTOR CERTIFICATION.
The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, and that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS.
The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with public law 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable
PRESERVATION, PACKAGING, PACKING, LABELING AND MARKING.
Commercial requirements:
Each strobe light unit shall be individually packed in accordance with ASTM D 3951.
Military requirements:
When specified in the contract or order, strobe lights shall be preserved level A or C, packed level A, B and C and marked in accordance with MIL-E-17555.
Marking: In addition to the marking requirements of ASTM D 3951 or MIL-E-17555, units packs and exterior shipping containers shall include the bar code marking specified in MIL-STD-129.
