DETAIL SPECIFICATION
LIGHT, MARKER, GROUND-OBSTRUCTION
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the
Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers a self-contained, battery-operated, steady or
flashing, ground obstruction marker light.
1.2 Classification. The marker lights are of the following battery types, color filter dome
sizes, and carrying bag options, as specified (see 6.2).
1.2.1 Batteries. The types of battery are as follows:
Type L - One lantern battery
Type C - Four C-cell batteries
1.2.2 Color filter domes. The color filter dome sizes are as follows:
Size 1
- Small color filter domes in accordance with figure 3
Size 2
- Large color filter domes in accordance with figure 4
1.2.3 Carrying bag options. The options of a carrying bag are as follows:
Class Y - Carrying bag included
Class N - No carrying bag included
